Not A Big Deal Or Anything But Carter Hart Has Turned The Philadelphia Flyers Into The Hottest Team In The NHL
There are currently 31 teams in the NHL. Out of all those teams, there is only 1 which has a current winning streak of 4 or more games. Any guesses as to which team that is?
If you guessed any other team besides the Philadelphia Flyers Men’s Professional Ice Hockey Team, you would be one pathetic loser. Quite possibly the dumbest idiot of all time. Because the Flyers, an actually good team, have not lost a hockey game since January 12th. To put that into perspective, a 2-week-old baby has never lived in a world where the Philadelphia Flyers have lost a game. Pretty incredible, right? I mean that kid is basically walking and talking by now; and for all he/she knows, the Flyers are the greatest hockey team ever assembled.
And it’s all thanks to Carter Hart. That magnificent, beautiful hockey boy. He’s now 7-5-1 in his 13 games he’s played in the NHL so far, 5-1 in his last 6 games, and his save percentage is sitting at .922 right now. Andrei Vasilevskiy is 2nd in the league right now with a 0.925 save percentage, for what it’s worth. Granted that’s over the course of 28 games instead of Carter Hart’s 13. But the kid is a 20-year-old rookie who got called up to play on a team that was sitting in 31st place, and he just had 31 saves on 32 shots against the Winnipeg Jets last night.
Obviously the Flyers already shot themselves in the dick so hard this season that they’re practically dickless. It was take a gosh darn miracle for them to be a playoff team this season. They’re 12 points out of a wild card spot and there are still 4 teams ahead of them. So they should still consider themselves sellers at the deadline to try to move some guys like Wayne Simmonds and Michael Raffl when they still can. But when you have a kid like Carter Hart coming up and proving that he’s ready for the NHL at just 20-years-old, you know you’re going to climb your way out of the basement very very soon. The one thing that’s always been holding the Flyers back is goaltending. But now they have it. And the rest of the league is in deep, deep shit moving forward.
P.S. – This play between JvR and Konecny last night was some Grade A quality filth.
